The AI Recorder Card (model WB-RC100) is a bank-card-size AI voice recorder, 86 × 54 × 3.2 mm, that records on its own and sends the audio to your phone over Bluetooth. The free app turns it into text with speakers labelled, writes AI meeting notes, finds to-dos, translates live and answers client questions from your own knowledge base. This guide explains every feature, why we built it and what we measured.
A phone is a good recorder until it has to record a call, run for hours, or stay free for other work. These are the five gaps the card closes.
| Phone recording | What happens | With the recorder card |
|---|---|---|
| Calls inside apps | WhatsApp, WeChat and similar calls cannot be recorded by the phone system | The card sits on the back of the phone; its bone-conduction mic picks up the earpiece, so calls in any app are recorded, without speakerphone |
| Regular phone calls | Many Android phones block call recording; iPhone call recording announces itself | Recording happens in the card's hardware, not through phone permissions |
| Long meetings | Incoming calls interrupt, apps get closed in the background, battery and storage run low | The card records on its own for 20–25 hours; a 32 GB card (about 29 GB usable) holds about 4,300 hours |
| Your phone is tied up | The phone must stay on the table, recording | The card records; you keep using your phone and sync later |
| Pickup | A phone at the end of the table misses voices | Two omnidirectional mics plus one bone-conduction mic |
Laws on recording calls differ by country and state. Always follow local law and ask for consent where required. Headphones can't be used in call mode, because the card listens to the phone's earpiece.
The card records and stores audio by itself, so an incoming call, a locked screen or a flat phone battery cannot stop a meeting recording. When you open the app it reconnects to your card without a scan. Recordings come over Bluetooth Low Energy as Opus audio at 2,000 bytes per second, about 7.2 MB per hour.
Some people want everything automatic; others only need a few recordings and want to save phone space and transcription minutes. The app supports both.
A two-hour recording may contain forty minutes of actual talking. The app runs on-device voice activity detection first and sends only the speech, so silence costs nothing. Transcripts come back with speakers labelled.
Having a transcript is not the same as having notes. Different situations need different outputs, and searching a long recording by ear wastes time.
Promises made in a meeting are easy to forget. After transcription the app lists every action item with its owner, the spoken deadline and the minute it was said.
A doctor needs a medical record, a lawyer needs a statement, a sales rep needs next steps. Scene analysis formats the same transcript for the job.
Some moments can't wait for a transcript: a talk in another language, a client call, a conversation across languages.
Sales and support staff can't remember every spec and price, and looking things up mid-call sounds unprepared.
Recordings hold meetings, patient details and client data. A card that is lost or lent should not hand them over.
The card is the size of a business card and 3.2 mm thin, with a metal body, so it fits a card holder or wallet and is used every day.
| Uses minutes | File and live transcription, billed per second of actual speech; 12 less common languages count three times |
|---|---|
| No minutes, needs an active account | AI summaries, mind maps, Ask, to-dos, scene analysis, live translation, read-aloud, teleprompter answers (with a daily allowance) |
| Free, no account | Bluetooth download, playback, export, demo mode, knowledge-base editing, search, importing audio |
| Gift | Each card adds 60 free minutes on first connection |
Samples ship within one week. Brands, distributors and teams can ask about custom logos, white label (our app under your brand from 500 units, with a 10% revenue share) and the open Bluetooth protocol.
Yes. Place the card on the back of the phone in call mode. Its bone-conduction microphone picks up the earpiece, so calls in WhatsApp, WeChat or any other app are recorded without speakerphone. Follow local recording laws.
About 20–25 hours of continuous recording per charge from a 400 mAh battery, and about 4,300 hours fit on a 32 GB card (about 29 GB usable).
In our tests one hour of audio (7.2 MB) transferred over Bluetooth in 229 seconds, about four minutes. Other phones or longer distances can be slower.
70 recording languages for transcription; live translation can target up to three languages at once. The app interface is in English and Simplified Chinese.
No. The app detects speech on the phone first and only sends the speech, and billing counts actual speech seconds.
Yes, with the same protocol. On iPhone, live captions pause while the app is in the background; the card keeps recording.
Only during processing: audio at most 2 hours while transcribing, transcripts for 7 days. Knowledge base and to-dos stay on the phone.
Yes. We laser-engrave logos and print branded packaging, in small batches. From 500 units you can also offer our app under your brand.
